64 Count Vintage Pop Art Crayola Crayons: What's Inside the Box

I love that Crayola likes to do throwbacks every once in a while. They definitely did this with the No 64 Vintage Pop Art Crayola Crayons Gold Medal School Crayons. The box design colors are fun, especially the blue, purple, green and yellow one.  The orange one is a throwback to classic Crayola boxes.  It is my favorite over the yellow orange box because of all the fun colors. I have been wanting this since I first saw it online, but I did not want to pay shipping.  I found it at the Crayola Store in Kansas City, Missouri.  You can see it is a little beat up, which is a disappointment, but it was the last one.  There are no new colors in the box, even though the back of the box is misleading and sounds like there might be new colors.

Crayola Neon 3D Sidewalk Chalk: What's Inside the Box

I have had one box of Crayola 3D sidewalk chalk before. I have not put it up here yet, it had chalk crayons in it too.  It was a lot of fun to use.  We drew all over the sidewalk and it really looked 3D.  Special chalk is needed, just the glasses to make it 3D.  It is a lot of fun for kids to play with.  Be warned, get a set of glasses for each kid that wants to use it.

4 Count Crayola Washable Sidewalk Chalk Character Themed Chalk: What's Inside the Box

I found the Crayola character themed 4 count side walk chalk at the Crayola Store in Kansas City.  I love the different themes, Avengers, Minions, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Frozen.  These character chalks feature colors that can be used to draw the character. The colors are very accurate to the chosen character they represent. The funny thing about the Frozen chalk is I thought I had bought it, and even looked at it in the store, but when I got home, I realized I had two Minions sidewalk chalk.  I hope the Frozen one is available when I go back.

Crayola Activity Floor Pad-Learn to Draw

I picked up the Crayola Learn to Draw-Activity Floor Pad in the dollar section or Bull's Eye's Playground at Target during back to school.  The Activity Pad is meant to be used on the floor and includea step by step drawing instructions for drawing different animals and objects.  My daughter has drawn many things with this activity pad and loves it.  She is already a better drawer than me.

Crayola Pocket Notebook

I do not remember where I got the Pocket notebook from Crayola. The notebook contains lined paper and is the shape of an artist's easel, with paint splotches on the front. My daughter has claimed it as her own and she loves it.  She carries it around with her. The notebook is very cute and shaped like an artist's easel. It was not made by Crayola, but by Martin Designs.  Crayola often outsources some of products.  They let other companies use their logo.  This makes a lot of sense because they are not experts in the fields they outsource.

Crayola Scratch and Reveal!

I was so excited to find these scratch and reveals from Crayola at Target in the dollar section or Bull's Eye Playground.  The set contains a stylus that when used will reveal a color underneath.  I think my kids will really like these. These are made by Bendon, a company that makes a lot of coloring books for Crayola. Bendon also makes a lot of coloring books for themselves that do not use the Crayola trademark.

Crayola Blenders and Basics Colored Pencils: What's Inside the Box

I think my mom got me the Crayola Blenders and Basics colored pencils, but I can not remember.  I absolutely loved these pencils when I was younger and still do. They are my go to pencils for shading. There are 36 colors and 24 pencils, 12 of them are double sided.  The blender colors include a light  color on one side and dark color on the other.  Crayola recently came out with the aged up dual ended colored pencils, those ones are not light and dark, but rather contrasting colors.  The blender pencils can be used to achieve a multitude of shading.  Crayola also put helpful blending techniques on the back of the boxes.

Crayola Glitter Crayons: What's Inside the Box

Crayola started making glitter crayons in 1993 starting with an 8 count box. The glitter crayons have small specs of shiny material in them to help them sparkle when the crayon is used. They had been experimenting for many years coming up with Silver Swirls, their first attempt at glitter crayons in 1990.

Do I like the current glitter crayons? I like them but I love the Silver Swirls and the GemTones even more. There was something magical about the Silver Swirls. Since then Crayola has expanded the idea of glitter to chalk and glitter glue.

Crayola Crayon Factory Review: What's Inside the Box

I was given the Crayola Crayon Factory by Crayola in exchange for an honest review.  I do not know if it will surprise you, but I also own the original Crayola Crayon Maker and a Crayola Paint Maker. I will be putting those on the blog soon.   I love the latest iteration of the crayon maker. This one is so much easier to use than the original, requires less steps, is smaller, and creates less of a mess.  The crayons are placed in the top of the device, a mold is placed in the melting chamber, and a button is pushed to start the process. Easy as that. The old crayon maker had to have a special light bulb to work. It took me a few months to find the light bulb, and then the crayons could only be made into other crayons shapes that were half the size of regular crayons.

This toy is very useful for teaching children.  It teaches them principles about color blending, recycling of old crayons and different states of matter.  Here is the video of the crayons we made with the Crayon Factory.

The crayons from the Crayola Crayon factory can be made into cars, hearts, and puppies.  Here are the crayons we made.

How to Make Silhouettes with the Crayola Air Marker Sprayer

When I received the Crayola Air Marker Sprayer from Crayola to review my mind raced with all the amazing ideas of things I could make with it.  I wanted to make something really fun with my kiddos they could keep for a long time. They both loved them so much they put them above their beds.

Crayola Air Marker Sprayer Review: What's Inside the Box

I was given the Crayola Air Marker Sprayer by Crayola to give my honest review. This is honestly one of my favorite gadgets from Crayola. And I am really saying that. I have only seen air sprayers used by street artists and never been able to use one myself. I have been eyeing this one for a while.  It was fun to finally be able to use one.

Here is my son's very first creation made with adult supervision.  We had a ton of fun. For our creation we used all the colors in the box and one of the stencils provided. He even liked spraying it without a stencil. The stencils were a little sticky after use, but that did matter much once they dried.

Crayola Colour Bursts and Color Mix-Up Crayons: What's Inside the Box and History

I love collecting specialty Crayola Crayons.  These are the Colour Bursts and Color Mix-Up's from 1997.  They were called Colour Bursts in Canada and Color Mix-Up's in the US. There are three colors in every crayon.  I am looking on finding the patent information for these crayons. The Color Mix-Up box and picture is from Stacy Hodges collection.  I love the unique names of the crayons on the wrappers such as: shrimp and cocktail, baby's blanket.

Crayola Project Paint

I bought this Crayola Project Paint when it was on sale at Target.  I love the vibrant color and the fact it is not washable.  It is nice to have some permanent paint for lasting projects.
