48 Special Effects Crayons

After Crayola launched all it's specialty boxes in the 1990's it did some compilations of these boxes in various sorts. This box the Special Effects box contains: techno bright crayons, color mix-up, construction paper crayons, pearl crayons, glitter crayons and color slicks crayons. It does not contain all of each one of them, that would have been a cool box of crayons, but a various assortment.

Crayola Special Brightest Collection Crayons: What's Inside the Box

The Crayola crayons Special Brightest Collection box is somewhat of a conundrum for me. At the time Crayola had fluorescent crayons. It does not include all the fluorescent crayons either. On the back it says, "This Special Brightest Collection gives you 24 of the brightest Crayola crayons together in one box." I do not know how they decided a crayon was bright, but there it is. 4 new colors, vivid violet, pink flamingo, caribbean green and sunset orange were introduced in this box and have New Color on their wrapper with streaks around the new color. I really like the design.

Crayola No. 2 pencils: What's Inside the Box

I wonder why it has taken Crayola so long to realize they could enter the school supplies market with their own core products. They own the space with colored pencils, chalk, crayons, markers, and paint. Why not expand to pens, pencils, dry erase markers, highlighters and permanent markers? Before Crayola contracted out much of this work to outside vendors, but recently has brought it back in house and will be releasing all of that for teachers. I can see them really dominating in this field. And if I were the other school suppliers in these markets I would be scared.

These are the Number 2 pencils Crayola came out with in 2018. They feature graphite encased in a wooden casing with colorful latex free erasers. The No 2 on the pencil refers to the HB scale of the pencil with H being super light and B being very dark. The number 2 is usually HB, in the middle of the two. I am super excited Crayola is making regular pencils now!

120 Different Crayola Colored Pencils

I had just finished the post, "Complete List of Crayola Colored Pencil Colors" when I found out there was a 120 Different Colors box. I immediately bought the box and could not wait to get it. I remember when the most colors that came in the colored pencil box were 64 colors and they were not named. When coloring I found that box lacking. Now there are 120 colors, and they are all named.

Review: Crayola Signature: Pearlescent Acrylic Paint, Cream Sticks, Paint Markers and Tri-Color Pencils

What Is New For Crayola Signature in 2019?
Crayola has come out with some really cool new Crayola Signature products for 2019. The pearlescent trend is big this year; pearlescent acrylic paint, cream sticks and paint markers. Each of these mediums work a little different. The acrylic paint works like regular paint. It is contained in a tube. The cream sticks work like Slick Stix and comes out like lipstick on the page. Once it dries it does not smear. Paint markers are paint in a marker. They come without ink in the tip. The marker must be shaken and then "pumped" by pushing the tip down over and over again much like the glitter markers.
